Isabel Towers adopted her first dog, Sheba, in 2001 while working on her PhD. Sheba's challenging habits hurled them into the world of dog training around the UK. This turned out to be far more fun than academia, so in 2009 Isabel set up her own business as a behaviourist in West Yorkshire. Now settled in Bradford, she has been writing stories since 2012.
